In July 2023, the Direct Transact Foundation pinpointed several locations within the broader Pretoria area where littering was prevalent, particularly by vagrants and public transport commuters.

To tackle this problem, the Foundation enlisted 10 unemployed mothers from rural communities. These mothers now work bi-weekly to maintain cleanliness in the identified areas, earning an income that supports their families and themselves. The project is led by Direct Transacts own Sipho, with Ephraim available to assist when needed.
